When I get lazy with blogging, I just post links to some neat stuff around the web:
- There are a bunch of maps on Flickr using mined information that show where pictures were taken by tourists and locals. Here’s the tourist vs local map of Toronto. Not surprisingly, the tourist concentration is around downtown and the islands.
- The only world powers that are also a Soccer world power is Brazil and Germany. Why is that the case? Particular why aren’t China or India ranked higher than 84th in the world in FIFA rankings?
- When you think of outsourcing, the last place you would think of is North Korea. But they apparently do 3D and mobile programming in North Korea. I wonder if they get paid or whether they work for the government though.
- Some of the world’s most famous photographs, done in Lego. The intricate setup shots are amazing too.
