More work report marking this term. My inbox is currently filled with notifications that I have work reports to mark. Anyways it is interesting that this term there have been a couple of changes.
First, the technical markers are now in charge of checklist marking. This sucks because we’re not getting paid anymore and we have to do a time consuming anal process.
It’s slightly better than that though. You can no longer fail the checklist anymore, instead it is (unclearly) bundled within the technical communication portion of your final mark. This gives me the flexibility to overlook retarded things in the checklist but it kind of sucks that they have only now implemented this.
Also, I learned last term that if you give someone a resubmit, you get the honor of marking their resubmited report. Now, I don’t know if this is a deterrant to handing out resubmit (you could always give an unacceptable so they fail, but that’s pretty mean) but I haven’t handed out a resubmit this term yet.
