I have been making lists and todos daily for the android apps that I’m working on; often times I get these bright ideas, but I’m not in front of my code (or busy) to actually make the changes. It seems to me that a wiki would be *perfect* to keep track of these ideas.
Except it’s not. Wikis are good for collaboration and note taking with lots of interconnections. But what I actually need is a notepad to list down my ideas, and then delete them when they’re done. Wikis have a lot of overhead of having to login, edit a document, save, etc etc. It’s too much of a hassle!
Instead, my hacky solution is to use a GMail email draft. It’s quick because I can just start typing and it will automatically save. I can access it on multiple computers and I don’t have to login just to grab my notes. I can also upload files (as attachments) and download them later instead of FTPing or using a USB stick. It’s a bit odd, but it works well!
