Here is what I had for food on my trip

£2.99 for a 9″ 3 Topping Pizza (Pepperonni, Mushrooms, Salami) at Chicken Cottage near London Bridge. Apparently Chicken Cottage is a chain but it just looked like cheap fast food to me.

£3.10 for a Venti Raspberry Tea Frappuccino blended beverage at the Starbucks in Leicester Square. Typically American?

£3.75 for various things at Marks & Spencer Simply Food in Jubilee Place at Canary Wharf:

  • Rare Roast Beef & Horseradish Sandwich (£2)
  • Lightly Salted Crisps (£0.50)
  • Cola (£0.65)
  • 500ml Still Water (£0.60)

One of many places that people on the run can get sandwiches from.

£7.95 for English Tea from The Orangery at Kensington Palace:

Do the English actually have this stuff during tea time?

£7.10 for the Spaghetti Carbonara at the Spaghetti House near Tottenham Court Road. Very salty and oily. My drink had oil in it after the meal.

£4.95 for the Crêpe aux Champignons at the Cafe Rouge near Harrods in Knightsbridge. This was a mishmash of taste with a fried egg on top, mushrooms and the sweet taste of tomatoes. I wouldn’t recommend it for breakfast.

£8.95 for Fish & Chips at Garfunkels off Oxford Street. The only English meal I could think of was f&c so I had to get one somewhere. I don’t know if Garfunkel’s is traditional, but there was certainly less batter and more fish.

£6.90 for Fusili Al Salmone at Ristorante Aurora near Covent Garden. A tasty dish, but it’s smoked salmon so I don’t know if that was a compliment. The no smoking section is apparently downstairs and we were the only people in it.
