My graduating class (University, not high school) has an annual reunion type gathering around Christmas to catch up and see where everyone is at. There was one originally planned around Christmas last month, which we would have missed since we were travelling, but due to schedulling problems, it didn’t happen until this past weekend and we were able to attend.
We had a pretty good turn out, about 20 people showed up. We went to Cafe Mirage which is just down the street from my parents’ place. I had been there before and it was just a typical café with a history that can be traced through Symposium or Plantation. It didn’t seem like a dinner place. I was quite surprised when we went there and it had transformed. It had an aura of a nice restaurant, and was decorated in a classy manner. It now had an entrance within the mall and was absolutely packed around dinner time, suffering from the effects of being a mall restaurant.
But looks can be deceiving. The food here wasn’t good, and so it was a bit expensive. You shouldn’t go to a dessert place for dinner after all.
