On my trip to France, I coincidently went to Notre Dame on a Sunday and was able to catch a Mass. That was pretty lucky, but the rest of the day wasn’t really because it was raining the entire day. While I was wandering around in the rain, I did manage to walk past a Muji.
This was the first time I came across a Muji (apparently they are popular in the UK as well), but I had heard about it online. It was basically the Japanese version of Ikea – minimalist design. It was very cool, I picked every piece of stationary up and played around with it (I had to see what it was!), the furniture not so eye-opening. While being pretty cool though, it was also pretty expensive; I couldn’t really justify paying 8€ for an aluminum lead pencil.
In any case, I didn’t really have a point for this blog aside from the fact that I wish they would open a Muji over here. I think I would have to go all the way to NYC in order to visit one.
