I once read that Green Day must have sold their soul to write Boulevard of Broken Dreams, because it was such a great song. I don’t think it’s that great of a song (although it might have been from listening to this remix too much), but I think that Jet really must have sold their soul to write Are You Gonna Be My Girl (you probably know it from the Gap ad). It’s such an amazing song and first single for a band that has since crashed their rockstar lifestyle um.. jetplane.
I hate hearing about Britney Spears as much as the next guy, but Blackout is really quite a good pop album (well at least the first half). I especially love the song Piece of Me, which hopefully they will release as a single. It’s good, go listen to it.
