We went to three weddings this summer, including one this past weekend. The last two were not nearly as eventful as the first, but the interesting thing was that both of the last weddings gave out soap bubbles.
I’ve never heard of or seen this before, but two does make a trend. I suppose it’s meant to replace the throwing (and cleanup) of rice and confetti; although soap isn’t that great either – you need to wash it off with water at some point.
While fun, the bubbles don’t actually have that great of an effect since the go the way of the wind. Although maybe I’m missing the point since I don’t understand the throwing tradition (plus we never did it at our wedding).
