After spending some time to setup Hot Photatoes, our group photoblog; I had an itching to setup my own, personal one. The only problem with that was that I didn’t want to duplicate the photos I post on Hot Photatoes or have to post them separately in another system.
So I toyed around with that idea, but not very seriously because the last thing I need is another photos thing to support. I had a brief idea to see if the software we’re running, pixelpost, supported individual photoblogs on a group photoblog, but it doesn’t have that functionality yet (it doesn’t support group blogs yet either!).
Eventually though, I got bored an looked through the pixelpost code. It wasn’t too bad (still simple software), and so I hacked in the personal photoblog on a group photoblog functionality on Pixelpost. So now, I have my very own photoblog that’s updated once or twice a week.
The only qualm I have now is that the photos I post is kind of restricted. I would like to post general photos of stuff I do, in addition to the arty ones, but that doesn’t fit the theme of the photoblog well. Maybe I will start my own in the future ;).
