Since my trip to China will include lots of travel on planes, and buses. I bought and brought a few books with me.

Everything Bad is Good For You is an investigation into pop culture. Not the horrible effect that pop culture is having on our society, but the conjecture that today’s pop culture is making us smarter! Do you believe that? Well I have to read the book to find out.

The second book is The Geography of Thought. I had never heard about this book, until I found it browsing in the bookstore. This book is about how Asians and Westerners think differently; a timely choice for my trip I think.

I’ve had Sigmund Freud’s Civilization and its Discontents. I’ve been meaning to read it, but I have no idea what it’s about. So I will blog about it later.

Finally, some crossword puzzles from the NY Times in case (which I think is very likely) I finish my books. I bought the “Monday” edition which are the easiest crossword puzzles, but I tried one and them seem damn hard to me!
