After a long hiatus, I’ve started watching Battlestar Galactica’s Season 2 Part 2. The first part of season two started early in the fall, and there was a two month break after the first 10 episodes (Space started showing the season 4 months later than Sci Fi Channel). For me, I’ve collected the first 7 episodes of part 2 before I started watching them so I took a four month hiatus.

Taking a break from what I thought was the best sci-fi series on TV now is perhaps a bad thing as I may not connect with the series as I used too. Fortunately that has not happened as of yet.

I’ve only watched the first two episodes, but they are every bit as nail biting, suspenseful and tense as the first 23 were. Without going into spoiler land here, one scene that stuck out in my mind was when one character, ordered to assassinate another but with doubts in their mind, was actively persuaded by the target to take charge and not falter; possibly sealing the target’s own fate. Wow. It was incredibly dramatic. Much more so than soap operas.

It’s difficult to find a TV show that will keep you on the edge of your seat for every minute of each episode. Battlestar Galactica is one of those, so if you haven’t had the opportunity to watch it yet, you should check it out.
