my new camera is an ultra-zoom, that class of cameras that have crazy high stalker zooms (speaking of which, i should get a tripod). anyways having an ultra zoom turns out to be really convenient and a great feature. i’ve ended up using the zoom a lot more. for example, when i was at the steam clock in gas town, there was a mass of people in front of me waiting to take pictures of the clock.

so rather than fight through all these people and wait for my 10 second turn at the camera. i took a few steps back, zoomed in and took this shot.

pretty easy to do when you have an ultra zoom.
