i’m anal about how my mp3s are tagged; they have to be immaculately accurate. i’ve wanted to rip my classical music for awhile but i haven’t been able to because i don’t think that the id3 tag structure was designed to collect all the little details about classical music (key, opus, movement, etc).

anyways since i have a lot of free time the last few days, i finally got around to seeing how people on the net have solved this problem. my search directed me towards this idea on how to tag classical music. it seems to capture all the details i want (although a side effect is that the titles are very long) so i’ve started ripping my collection.

on a side note, i’ve been bored with music the last little while; probably because i haven’t found enough new music to listen to that i actually like. so i think i’ll go back to listening to classical for awhile; although i think i will run into the same problem since my library is comparably small.
