went to see ted leo & the pharmacists & guests at good ol’ neumos last night. the “guests” were the reputation (missed them), the lashes (apparently a teeny bopper rock band), and lucero (never heard of them either). it was a weird crowd there, it was an all ages event so there ended up being lots of teenage girls, but they seemingly disappeared after the lashes; so either they showed up to watch them or they had a curfew. anyways, ted leo was rocking and half the time it seemed like he was doing stand up comedy. he’s also a democrat and i think they vibed with the crowd. i wanted to pick up their latest album shake the sheets after the show, but they only had their old cds! come on, how are you supposed to make money on your tour if you don’t have stock.
