i use a glass desk at home much like the glass desk in this picture which caved in. i sure hope mine doesn’t break and drop all my crap on the floor; considering between the desk and all the stuff that that would be crushed under it i have: a tv, monitor, computers, printer, consoles, stereo system, phone, electronics i’m not using (gba, pda, etc); basically all the expensive stuff. my desk doesn’t even have the metal supports in the middle to help it support the weight.

actually i think the most important thing is that you pay attention to the weight limit on the desk and don’t put too much crap on it. so house rule #1 is don’t sit on my desk!
