the last couple matchbox 20 songs that i’ve heard on the radio (ie their singles) all have pretty catchy first verses/intros, but once it gets into the chorus, i lose all interest in the song. i dunno if it has too many pop hooks or what, maybe rob thomas is trying too hard or something. it’s kinda like enrique iglesias’ escape, except that in the second half you can pretty much concentrate on anna k if you’re lucky enough to watch the video. if you’re hearing it on the radio you’re pretty much screwed.
