here’s the deal, let’s say there’s a student society that’s funded by students (let’s call it a…federation of students), and a university that for the most part, receives its funding from students. so hypothetically, if the federation of students sues the university for $11 million, who ends up picking up the tab? i like how the feds are looking out for student interests by giving the university a reason to significantly increase the amount of funding from students. of course, we can hope that the feds lose so we only have to indirectly pay for both sides’ legal fees.
