some stuff i noticed about music recently (yeah i’m not bitching about black people anymore!); jennifer love hewitt should be, but isn’t a sure thing. that is she should be more successful than those other pop acts that are put together cuz she has everything they have (looks, passable singing abilities) and she’s already famous and popular. but her first foray into the music industry flopped, and i bet her recently started one will too. it’s kinda dumb really cuz i’m guessing the reason behind it is that her record company doesn’t want to market her like crazy (like hip hop artists) and/or she doesn’t want to cheapen her image (like mariah carey)…but i think that the chances of her being a successful would be better than someone like say willa ford.

i remember hearing that celine dion’s pretty popular in japan (she does concerts there) but it seems like she’s really trying to move into that market. in her first two videos from her new cd she’s had 1) people who look like they’re japanese playing major roles in the video and 2) a japanese idol hairstyle…looks like she’s trying to simultaneously market the videos to both sides of the world, i just hope that they know who stuart little is over in japan.
