When I get lazy with blogging, I just post links to some neat stuff around the web:
- Interesting how technology changes things and you’re not even aware of it. One example is vibrato used by string instruments in orchestras.
- Here’s another demographic map of Toronto, this time broken down by whether the neighborhood are service, working, or creative class workers. There is a clear creative class (i.e., “thinking” profession) running down the Yonge subway line, with service class dominant everywhere else.
- Only three companies control 89% of the US soft drink market. Actually I would think that Coke and Pepsi would own even more. The infographic is good to see all the different brands they own.
- Chinese people apparently won’t buy dryers, and instead just hang their laundry out to dry.
