I intended to, and I had wanted to blog more about work than I have. The problem is that I think you can only blog about work in one of two ways: 1) complain how it sucks without going into any details, or 2) act like a poster boy for a good employee and say how hard you’re working.

No doubt you’ve heard mention of how people have been fired for blogging. It’s not even a matter of blogging about company secret, you could be complaining about an coworker; but if someone from work comes across it: omg, harassment, fired. So the alternative is to say that work sucks and leave it at that, which makes for a really bland story.

On the other hand, you can say how hard you’re working or brag about the great work that you’ve accomplished; which either makes you look like a brainwashed propagandist or a show off. So rather than getting fired or bragging, I end up not posting about work, well…usually.
