while i was in class on friday i had an epiphany and realized that i didn’t have to stare at my 12″ laptop screen all the time, i could use vnc* to do it from my desktop and monitor. so now i’m “on my desktop” writing this blog on my laptop. also i actually have more use for my desktop now; aside from a music and file server, it’s a dumb terminal!

* vnc is a lot like xp remote desktop in that you can remotely control another computer.
