i just watched a screener of the series premier of global frequency; a new show on the wb. the wb was home to many good shows such as buffy, angel, smallville; and this looks like it will be another one of them.

global frequency is based on a comic book series by warren ellis, basically 1001 people around the world with exceptional skills in certain areas are pulled together to save civilization from shadowy threats. think of it as alias (different premise every episode) crossed with 24 (everything’s on a time limit) crossed with x-files (weird-o stuff) crossed with comic book material. this is a perfect replacement to watch instead of smallville (i’ve finally given up on it i think).

the only problem is that wb decined to pick it up which is sad because i think it will appeal to the same audience as alias and 24.
