when i’m in seattle i get my hair cut at supercuts. but that’s only because i don’t live in a asian area and don’t know any cool places like the korean guy i usually go to. supercuts is horrible, i don’t even know if their “hair stylists” are actualy trained or if they just pick people off the street that need jobs (seems like the latter based on the forced conversations i’m supposed to have with them).

there are also obvious processes that trickle down from upper management involved because i keep getting the same sort of questions and upsells every time i go there. the worse thing about this is that the haircut itself is a process, i’m supposed to remember all these weird numbers about my preferences for a haircut, oh yeah a level 3 cut using a 5/8 blade blah blah blah. omgwtfbbq??

i usually like to give them a few adjectives and then expect them to cut my hair in some way that resembles what i asked them too, i don’t want to badgered with stupid questions, you are the hair stylist not me. i much rather like how the korean dude does it; him: “same style?” me: “yeah.”
