So there’s this music meme going around the (interweb|blogosphere) where you have to answer a couple of questions:

Total volume of music on my computer:
1656 songs totalling 9.15gb for 5 days, 1 hour, 6 minutes and 10 seconds of continuous music. It’s all bought from itunes or ripped by me (98% of which are from CDs that I’ve bought with my hard earned cash). Why? Cuz (didn’t i blog about this before?).

The last CD I bought:
Damien Rice’s O. I had downloaded this previously and even after hearing that it was critically acclaimed, i didn’t really like it. but then i saw it at a used place for $3 and it had this cool hard cover book for a case so I said, why the hell not. i ripped it and am listening to it on my ipod. it’s pretty peaceful and i’ve discovered that they used one of the songs from the album in closer. it’s grown on me.

Song playing right now:
Special by Garbage. i shuffle so it’s anyone’s guess (whew no dirty laundry).

Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:
Hrmm I should probably give this more thought, BUT:
  • Kelly Clarkson’s A Moment Like This – I don’t know why but I end up listening to this song a lot. Shuffle’s broken 😉
  • Coldplay’s The Scientist – I definitely needed a Coldplay song up here, and they’re all so moody and good but I settled on this one. I am kinda like a scientist I suppose.

  • Franz Ferdinand’s Jaqueline – This isn’t one of their singles but I think it’s under rated and one of my favorite songs off the album.
  • New Order’s Bizarre Love Triangle – I first heard this song a long time ago and I liked it. I kept listening to it and I still like it. This one’s a keeper.
  • Queen’s Too Much Love Will Kill You – This was written after the lead singer from Queen died of AIDS and is a very emotional song from a glam rock group.
