there was a fire in one of the engineering buildings today (high voltage lab?) and that building is closed off for the remainder of the day. i’m about a set of doors away from the building right now (i know, i’m a thrill seeker) and it smell pretty much like burnt plastic. yummy.

mikey’s is one of the chinese restaurants in university plaza, and this term they’ve started handing out those frequent diner cards (you know, the buy 12 get 1 free things?). anyways, the two times i’ve been there this term, they’ve pushed the cards on me hoping that i will come back often and fill up the card. i’m sure there’s some marketing mastermind at mikey’s that thinks this is a terrific idea and will make them more popular than the other crappy chinese places in the plaza. the truth is i purposely forget to take the card with me because their food is crappy and cater towards white people (they don’t have chopsticks yo).

did you know, we have a day off school on march the 25th? why? because it’s good friday. yeah i know, i was kinda weirded out when i found out that good friday was in march too. on top of that, i found out that my calendar is wrong
