flikcr, the social networking photo app has been popular with the hip kids on the web for a long time; but i had resisted using their service for quite awhile. it really made no sense to me to use it since i had my own photo album online here and no one i knew was on flickr. well, i stopped being a sheep and signed up for my own free flickr account.
i’ve posted some pictures up, but all of them also exist on my site. i guess i’m really only using flickr because 1) it’s the cool new thing, and 2) y’all can comment and doodle on the pics. i should’ve signed up like 6 months ago when i heard about it so i could say yeah, i was using flickr before you had your digicam or something like that 😉
anyways, if you take a lot of photos you should check it out. it’s still in beta but it’s getting more and more press; even the globe and mail wrote an article about flickr (i didn’t know they’re vancouver based!).
side note: all these pseudo social networking services have a profile section, but i keep entering (read: copy+paste) the same information into every service. it’s kinda dumb really.
