i haven’t recorded anything new onto minidiscs for awhile, but i’ve finally collected around 2.5 hrs of new songs to burn one. except i ran into retarded sony problems again, even using the quick method of burning MDs that i’ve previously blogged about. for some reason simple burner wouldn’t recognize my net md anymore and actually save the songs (it seems to have been transferring, just not writing a file allocation table or something), maybe simple burner felt left out because i hadn’t run it in awhile.
of course, other people have complained about the same problem on the sony boards, but when i clicked on the google link result it seemed as though the page wasn’t there anymore. thanks sony for not helping me solve the problem that you caused me. anyways, the google cache had the fix to my simple burner problem and i slowly finished burning.
i hear there’s a new (possibly improved) sonicstage2 for the new hi-md walkmans. they’re pretty cheap too, only about $250. i would check it out, but i’m not a sony customer anymore. also, sony has a new ipod competitor coming down the pipe that’s supposed to be smaller in form and have a longer battery life than the ipod. to bad it sucks.
