the atlantic often has exceptionally interesting articles, and this collection of anecdotes from kim jong ii’s cook is no exception. i’d actually be interested in reading the full book, but sadly it’s only been published in japanese.

i’ve switched im clients, and this new one i’m using lets me update my msn nickname with whatever song i’m listening to. it’s a neat idea and just as useless as posting it on my blog, but the drawback i’ve found is that it exposes all your dirty laundry to everyone on your list (what do you mean? i hate the backstreet boys!). the drawback i’ve found for other people is that a notification pops up every 5 minutes cuz my nickname changes! oh well, i’ll get rid of it soon.
