well well well, tampa and calgary eh? but first let’s talk about how i did. i didn’t catch the globe and mail predictions, so i can only compare with the tsn expert picks.

gino reda: 2/2 (9/14)
maggie the macaque: 2/2 (7/14)
favorites: 1/2 (9/14)
james duthie: 1/2 (8/14)
me: 1/2 (9/14)
pierre mcguire: 1/2 (10/14)
underdogs: 1/2 (5/14)
bob mckenzie: 0/2 (5/14)
dave hodge: 0/2 (7/14)
gord miller: 0/2 (7/14)

well, so far i’m hitting 9/14, tied for second with the “favorites” and gino reda. pierre mcguire is one ahead of us, so i still have a chance to catch up and tie for the winner. i think the tiebreaker should be picking the winner of the stanley cup (so i win, if i guess correctly). i find it ironic that the two hockey experts, dave hodge and bob mckenzie both scored 0/2 in this round and are near the bottom of the tally.

so who’s going to win? tampa proved to me that they’re the real thing when they beat philly, but calgary has also surprised me by being able to get all the way to the cup. the question is if they’re destined to be the next stanley cup winners or the next anaheim. i have no idea, but i’ll say calgary just for the heck of it (don’t pick this pierre mcguire).
