i’ve had a comic book renaissance recently, which is a bad thing because i have neither the room to store it or money to buy it or willingness to goto the comic store every week. actually it’s very tempting to start collecting again because i think i work five minutes from silver snail, but shhh don’t tell me that. what i thought would solve my no room and visiting the comic book store frequently problems was to buy trade paperbacks. these usually contained one story arc of a series (that is 4-6 issues glued together into one book), so i would only have to get one every month or so and there’s less bulk from the cardboard backings. unfortunately those books are crazy expensive, they cost like $25+! actually it makes sense because you’d have to pay the same price as if you bought those issues on their own, but i figured that since they’re not hot of the press nor does it cost the companies any extra creative time/money to make, it would be more of a bargain.
