apparently in boston you can buy knock off cds for $5 on the street. how come they don’t sell this stuff in toronto? we’re like a mini-hk, you can only get pirated games or chinese music. not that i would be contributing to the music industry either way since i usually get them off ebay or second hand but still, it’s not fair. tomorrow’s the 58th anniversity of the bombing of hiroshima. i never had the chance to really learn about it in school, so i’ve never really thought about it. but after reading through this person’s account of what happened several days ago, i think i’ve come to realize how catastrophic it was. the only thing we’ve experienced that’s comparable is 9/11, but that was only a small part of manhattan. hiroshima was utterly obliterated. everyone within a certain distance of the epicentre was killed instantaneously, and many more later died painfully. families, memories, hopes & dreams were destroyed forever, they didn’t have a chance. even thought it was during a time of war where many people were killed, the damage done by a single atom bomb was incredible. hopefully we will never see something like this ever again.
