i was going to make a post regarding away messages that would’ve included an link to the new york times that i’ve been saving for awhile, but it seems that nytimes.com has begun charging for old articles in their archive. maybe they’re looking to make money but for me it’s inconvenient. they have plenty of interesting articles that i may have linked in the future, but between this and having to log in on every computer i want to view their articles on, i don’t think i’ll ever link them again. newayz back to the original post. i’ve been somewhat compelled to read this blog of aim away messages. true to its name it’s really like stalking, except you don’t really know who these people are. sometimes i wish my instant messenger would go through everyone on my list and read their away messages, just to see if they write anything interesting. come to think of it, if you consistently read a person’s away message, are you in fact stalking them?
