i don’t think i’m the right type of person to own a camera, i can’t get myself in front of people and take pictures. say this weekend, we had a large class gathering with plenty of photo opportunities, but i didn’t take any pictures at all. i think it just feels weird to get everyone to stop what their doing and pose so i can take a picture. that and i feel stupid if i just start taking “action shots” of everyone. or…maybe it’s just my personality.

the concert promotion arm of clear channel has an interesting idea of letting concert-goers purchase a cd copy of the show they just attended as they walk out the door. this is a pretty good idea since people would get a better quality copy of the concert than if they acquired a bootleg. on the other hand, i’m not too sure if it would actually be the same concert that they attended knowing clear channel’s fondness of voice tracking (nytimes registration required to read). they could just pre-record the tracks, voice track the things that the performer will say to the crowd, and pre-master the discs. then, all they have to do is force the performer to say certain things at certain times, which i’m sure, is not out of clear channel’s power.
