there’s a new single by chicane, love on the run. it’s not spectacular, seems more like one of those tracks that grow on you after a few listens. or maybe it might be that i’ve been listening to too much euro-trance lately. also updated the trance section; didn’t like how i did it before so i rewrote it and changed the theme. i think in the future i’ll update the page more, or i won’t. we’ll see.
jakob neilsen is supposed to be the guru on net usability. in the vein of year-end lists, he listed his top 10 web-design mistakes of 2002. some make sense, some don’t; it depends a lot on your own preferences i think. but the comics describing the mistakes are pretty funny.
with lego losing money recently, i figured out a way they could cash in more on kids (aside from more harry potter promos). recently, a couple of us were discussing how cartoons nowadays are often created just to sell toys, like pokemon or beyblade. now what if lego develops a cartoon which takes place within a lego world. they could show off new lego sets as well as save advertising money they would normally spend on commercials. it’s not as if they’re that far from doing that. lego has already created short cartoons featuring jack stone — a rescue hero. i guess tv stations could see something like thisas blatant advertising and would want to charge them astronomical amounts, but i think the concept’s very similar to pokemon’s — they’re just trying to sell toys.
