We didn’t take a trip over the Civic Holiday long weekend because we had a wedding to go to at the Mandarin Golf Club & Country Club. This was Samson’s wedding, who was the MC at our own wedding.

It was an outdoor wedding and that was bad given the recent weather. I think the humidex was up to around 38°C that day, and with the sun beating down on me while wearing a suit; it would be quite unbearable. Fortunately, they had considered this and had umbrellas for everyone! That was a good strategy because it could also help in the rain, but I guess they never considered that Chinese people are an inconsiderate folk.

Well at least we were shaded from the sun somewhat.

We didn’t know many people at the wedding, actually we didn’t know anyone except the bride/groom and Ida and Richard. So for a bit, we made our own entertainment with some props that were lying around.

Luckily, the heat wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and it was actually pretty nice around sunset.
