i got my first batch of digital pics printed today, just to see what would happen with them…the process was overly difficult, i guess it’s cuz not enough people have actually done this yet. you had to tell the place what pictures you wanted to have printed (i was smart, i only put the ones i wanted printed on the card) but if you had all sorts of requests and size requirements then it would be way too complicated cuz the guy had to actually write all the instructions on the envelope. i can just imagine someone who is not as technology inclined trying to explain to the salesperson what they wanted. also i was also confused about aspect ratios that they wanted, cuz the original pics were 4:3 and normal pictures are 3:2…so i thought ok i’ll crop them to 3:2 so they won’t crop it incorrectly…but when i got the prints they seemed to have been cropped again (yet the prints were still 4×6)…weird…maybe it was just the place i went to…but the entire process is kind of awkward…i think the online places would do a better/easier job printing them, but then i’d have to pay for shipping too (tho the prints themselves are cheaper online)…
