This is our fourth, fourth! week without AC at home now. Our condo has had their AC broken since almost the start of summer, during some of the hottest days in the summer (hopefully) where the thermostat was up to 34°C (and in the low 40s with humidex). We have a temporary chiller installed in the building, after repeated efforts, but it still doesn’t work properly.
The most infuriating thing is that management has done a horrible job setting expectations. First, I should warn that the only exposure I have to the management in this building is from their bulletins in the elevator. Here is an example:
The engrish is typical of the notices, which is frustrating. The grammar is a bad sign, but the handling of the entire AC affair is even worse. The management keeps promising that the AC will be fixed, by a certain time/day, and we consistently miss the deadline. Even now, with a temporary chiller in place, no AC is pumped into the suites! And meanwhile, in these past four weeks, the AC has been working in the common elements perfectly. It is quite perplexing…
