Whenever I go to McDonalds or the like, I typically get the cheapest meal on the menu. That’s what fast food is good for; cheap and fast. And if you’re not full after one kid burger, just order two or three!
But surprisingly, now there is one case where I don’t go for the cheap anymore, and spend the big bucks ($7.99 in this case), and that’s when I go to Burger King. BK has this awesome Mushroom & Swiss Steakhouse Burger which is to die for. Ok, so that’s probably the wrong cliche for this, or is it? The meal tops out at 1550 calories.
I first found out about this luxury burger because I received coupons which let me have a combo for the price of the burger. It’s a combination of swiss cheese, processed mushrooms, some french fry type things, a tangy sauce and a square patty. It sounds simple, but BK has found a great tasty balance – especially for me.
Ever since I tried one, I’ve been hooked. I’ve tried other mushroom-swiss melts (at Harvey’s and Arby’s) but the BK one is heads and shoulders above the competitors. The only problem is that I feel sick right after I eat it, and it’s a bit disgusting because the bottom half ends up all over the wrapper; but because of their coupon, BK has a happy customer and a blog about their luxury burger.
