Whoo a new year, and I’m trying to live up to one of my New Year Resolutions. I didn’t take any extra vacation so I had to start working right off the bat on January 2nd. We had just shipped our product before the break so I spent most of the month hammering out feature designs and fighting for the survival of some features for the next incremental release. My thesis has also been revived and is being shopped to various brands within IBM so I had to do a few presentations to people and write up a paper for it.

Last January, we went to a lot of bridal shows. Side question: Why are they alternatively called Bridal or Wedding shows. How come there are never Groom shows? Anyways, we had a better idea what we were doing this year, so I didn’t go. However the January Wedding spirit was there and we worked out some details such as the invitations, flowers, booking our ceremony location and officiant.

Near the beginning of the month, I read a lot about the Democratic and Republican primaries on the net, although I didn’t pay any attention to the debates or other mainstream media reports. But then I started getting bored of that news. I also reviewed a couple of movies and went to two Winterlicious dinners.
