I never had a NES, Genesis, SNES (or Famicon) as a kid so I’ve been catching up the past decade, owning the PSX, Dreamcast and Gamecube. I have fond memories of games from all of these systems, but I currently only have my GC plugged in due a shortage of RCA and power connections. This poses a problem because sometimes I do want to break out my Dreamcast and play Space Chanel 5.
I’ve seen (at Walmart) switches for your consoles, but I’m not invested enough to buy one of those (maybe if I also had a PS2, Wii, and Xbox360). So I was pretty impressed at how my PSX emulation setup ended up. I had an itching to play my PSX rhythm games: Bust A Groove 1 and 2, Parappa the Rapper and Unjammer Lammy, so I downloaded the ePSXe emulator and bought a $10 “Dual Shock” controller from Hong Kong. After adjusting some of the settings (my PC is way to powerful to process PSX games real-time), everything works like I have a PSX on my desk!
Side note: why is Parappa so damn hard? I can’t figure out whether it’s a simulation or a freestyle game.
