I’ve been doing pretty well in my predictions this year; in round 3, I correctly guessed all (two) of the winners. That brings my overall record to 12-2. Even if I get the Stanley Cup winner incorrect, my record will still be better than my 2006 record of 8-6.

I originally thought that whichever team that made it from the West would get hammered by Ottawa. Now, after watching game 6 of the Ducks/Wings series, I’m not so sure. The Ducks were overpowering, especially their second line. Perhaps Detroit was just old and tired (I swear I saw Lidstrom play the last 3 minutes of one of the earlier game straight), but they were severely outplayed.

But, I’ve been on the Senators’ bandwagon since watching them play the Penguins. I think they’re going to finally win the Cup.
