Syrianna was on my list of movies to watch from last year because I had heard previously that it was supposed to be good. It is about oil, the Middle East, and the American interests in the two. There are several story lines and until late in the movie I found it rather confusing, particularly the roles and relationship of the American characters. I was able to notice however, the contrast the movie portrayed between the US, the royal families, and the Muslim nation.

Overall, it was a good explanation of the motivations of all three parties in their actions and why the region is such a mess. I think this was a good current events, documentary type film with an action story. 3 stars out of 5.
