One day I followed a link and started playing “Cookie Clicker which is a simple web-based game where you create cookies by clicking a big cookie with your mouse. In the vein of Grand Theft Auto, this whimsical game has no end – you just try and fill the universe with err cookies.

It sounds very simple but I find it is designed very well. There is enough stuff to keep you playing for awhile even with such a simple concept. Once you get more advanced, it takes longer to make progress (rather than more skill – it’s just clicking anyways) but there are still things to achieve and collect; so I’ve been keeping my browser window open to collect cookies.

I think I’ve been “playing” for about two weeks now and I just marvel at how the game is so simple but still fun and addicting.
